Steven “Cody” Lay is an accomplished healthcare executive, entrepreneur, and Owner of Metabolic Centers for Excellence (MCE), bringing over 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership, commercial diagnostics, business development, and healthcare transformation. Throughout his career, Cody has helped healthcare organizations nationwide improve operational performance, expand clinical services, and develop sustainable growth strategies. His background includes serving as a founding member of Accumen’s health system transformation model, where he contributed to initiatives focused on laboratory optimization, clinical operations, and health system efficiency. As Co-Founder of ColiveHC, he has continued his commitment to helping healthcare organizations innovate, grow, and deliver better patient care.
At MCE, Cody combines his extensive healthcare business experience with a passion for changing how chronic disease is addressed. He is dedicated to advancing innovative, personalized approaches to metabolic health, with a focus on insulin resistance, diabetes, neuropathy, and related chronic conditions. Michelle Brown, MT

Michelle Brown is an experienced healthcare executive, Microbiology Medical Laboratory Technician, and Co-Founder of Metabolic Centers for Excellence (MCE). With over 20 years of experience spanning clinical laboratory medicine, diagnostic services, healthcare operations, and business leadership, Michelle brings a unique combination of clinical knowledge and strategic expertise to MCE. Her professional background includes experience with nationally recognized healthcare organizations such as Labcorp, Sonora Quest Laboratories, and Baylor Genetics, providing her with a strong foundation in advanced diagnostics, healthcare innovation, and improving the delivery of patient care.
As Co-Founder of MCE, Michelle is passionate about transforming the traditional approach to chronic disease management by focusing on metabolic health, early detection, patient education, and personalized treatment. She is particularly dedicated to helping individuals struggling with insulin resistance, diabetes, neuropathy, and metabolic dysfunction better understand their health and take meaningful steps toward improvement. Dr. Brian Bluth, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Brian Bluth serves as the Medical Director for Metabolic Centers for Excellence. He provides physician oversight for the clinic’s medical services, ensuring that all treatments are delivered safely and according to the highest standards of care. Dr. Bluth works closely with the clinical team to oversee patient treatment plans, advanced metabolic therapies, regenerative medicine services, and quality improvement initiatives.
Kenneth Warren, APRN
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Tulsa
Kenneth Warren, APRN, provides comprehensive patient evaluations, develops individualized treatment plans, and manages ongoing care for patients with metabolic disorders, insulin resistance, neuropathy, chronic pain, and other complex medical conditions. He works collaboratively with the MCE team to help patients achieve meaningful improvements in their overall health through personalized, evidence-based care.
Dr. Jehanzeb Riaz, MD
Medical Oncology Director – Tulsa
Dr. Riaz is a board-certified medical oncologist who collaborates with Metabolic Centers for Excellence in the care of patients experiencing chemotherapy-related neuropathy and other treatment-related complications. His expertise in oncology provides valuable insight for patients receiving supportive therapies designed to improve comfort, function, and quality of life while complementing their ongoing cancer care. MCE works collaboratively with each patient’s oncology team to ensure treatments are coordinated appropriately.
